The central idea behind the CHISDAK SURGERY CENTER’S design is to step away from the usual sterile feeling of medical facilities, and rather create a relaxed and comfortable environment to aid in lessening the stress and anxiety that comes with surgery and experiences with medicine. As opposed to the fluorescent lights that one might expect in medical facilities, the space is designed to be filled with natural light. The design builds a strong connection to the exterior of the building, with an emphasis placed on framing the sky. The design includes a large, south facing roof-top terrace.
